A new book from brilliant publisher Barrington Stoke. THE GENIUS - AGED 8¼. Who can sort out daft parents, useless teachers, hopeless mayors and dangerously stupid prime ministers and presidents? Why, The Genius of course, even if he is only eight and a quarter years old!

This is possibly the silliest story I have written, and it is wonderfully illustrated by Jamie Smith. Take a peek in your local bookshop!

I am in Year 4 and a big fan of your books. My favourite are the 100 mile an hour dog books, Streaker is my favourite character. I hope to be an author like you one day. How can I arrange for you to visit my school and meet with me and my friends? Please can you reply to my mummy soon. Love from Babette R K Goldstein
