A Rather Wet Walk….

Did you and your family go for a walk on Christmas Day? Or maybe on Boxing Day? We always like to get out of the house if we can, but you know what the weather has been like – HORRIBLE! However, we did manage to get out on Boxing Day and we went off on one of our favourite walks. It was a bit muddy in places; in fact it as VERY muddy in places, and there were lots of puddles too, but we did manage to struggle through. We were walking back to the car along a very narrow country lane which had high hawthorn hedges on both sides and we had almost got back safe and dry when, guess what was round the corner? The road was FLOODED! One hundred yards of deep water stretching from one side of the road to the other and there was no way to get to the car except to walk throught it. Well some of us had welly boots on. And some us didn’t. Like me! I had to take off my walking shoes and socks, roll up my jeans and paddle through. It was wet. It was muddy. IT WAS FREEZING! Thought you might like to see the picture my wife took. YUKK!

  • Hello Francine, You are welcome to post your suggestions in the same way you left a message. It won't show up in the blog unless it gets 'approved' so I can still see what you have to say without it being made public. I don't have a contact page because I simply would not have the time to answer all the subsequent e-mails. It's hard enough staying on top of fan snail-mail as it is! Thanks for your post. • Today, I went to the beachfront with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is completely off topic but I had to tell someone! posted by N
