The winners!
Aldborough Primary School is OFFICIALLY the funniest school in Britain!
I loved everything about this entry. The whole school had been involved and the flat board had been ingeniously constructed to fold out into many components, including some brilliantly drawn and engineered 3D pop-ups. All of that was clever and well done but, most of all, it was the impression that you got as soon as you opened the box and got it out. It was full of charm and magic and laughter. I could almost hear all the children (and teachers!) in the fabulous pictures giggling. Brilliant!
I’d like to congratulate all the schools that took part. It was hugely encouraging to see how many schools responded and just how much fun can be had through learning and being at school. It made me want to go right back to age 5 and start all over again – at one of these schools of course!
Other great entries came from –
Wheatfields Junior, St Alban’s, Herts. Two delightful class entires. I loved the funny board game and the children’s faces on springs!
Class 6, Sutton Valence Primary, Maidstone, Kent. A lovely 3D model of their class. You really worked hard on this – lots of fun details!
Burnfoot Community School, P5 Class, Hawick, Scotland. A whole box full of crazy letters. Your teachers are VERY strange, and sound great!
Hursthead Junior School, Cheadle Hulme, Cheshire. A great photo-entry, and my goodness, how many children CAN you get in the head’s knickers?!
